A live grenade was found on Thursday in Central Kashmir Budgam’s Budran Magam area while digging the surface for an electric pole’s installation.

Sourced told news agency that a live grenade was spotted when a portion of land was being dug for the installation of an electric pole.

A bomb disposal squad of Budgam police was immediately called in who destroyed the grenade in-situ without causing any damage.

In the aftermath, locals said that a tragedy was averted with the immediate action of BDS, who successfully destroyed the grenade. (KDC)
