Hailstorm wreaks havoc in north Kashmir

A strong hailstorm wreaked havoc in scores of north Kashmir’s Baramulla and Kupwara district areas on Monday afternoon, resulting in damage to apple and vegetable crops.

The hailstorm was witnessed in Haripora Tehsil kwarhama District Baramulla and Sarmarg Rajwar, area of District Kupwara

As per eyewitness told the devastating hailstorm has resulted in damage to crops and vegetables. However, the assessment of the total damage was not known immediately.

Hailstorm has inflicted heavy damage on crops like apple flowers, and other vegetables and fruits. The locals have demanded adequate compensation from the government for their losses.
