Srinagar October 7 : Expressing satisfaction over the steady infix of tourists to Jammu and Kashmir this year , Chairman,JK People’s Democratic Front (JKPDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has demanded development of Tossamaidan and Doodhpathri tourist places to thier full potential .He said vast tourism potential of Doodhpathri and Tossamaidan has remained unexploited so far adding that government has not given its focussed attention for development of these tourism places.
In a statement issued on Friday Hakeem Yaseen while expressing satisfaction over the claims of the tourism development about increase in tourist influx to Jammu and Kashmir this year , termed it as a good omen . He has demanded focussed attention of the government towards development of Doodhpathri and Tossamaidan tourist places which has remained unexploited due to lackadaisical approach of the concerned authorities. He said the vast tourism potential of these tourist places if exploited optimally , would give big fillip to tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir , besides creating vast job avenues for the local youth . He said that tourism sector was the backbone of local economy adding that government should especiallyexploit adventure and winter tourism potential of these tourist places.(KNS)
