Under the guidance of Vikram Jit Singh, Commissioner Secretary to Govt, Industries and Commerce Department, a two months Capacity Building and Skill Development Training for the Carpet Instructors of Jammu division was today organized by Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom, Jammu in collaboration with Indian Institute of Carpet Technology, Srinagar.
Speaking at the Inaugural function, Dr. Vikas Gupta, Director Handicrafts & Handloom, Jammu informed that 12 carpet instructors of Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Rajouri and Udhampur districts of Jammu division, are undergoing this training programme v from January 5, 2024 to enhance their skills, learn to make diverse and durable carpets and have firsthand knowledge of the latest developments made in this sector.
