The prominent sociopolitical activist Syed Karar Hashmi condemns the selective killing of Kashmiri Pandit, Shanjay Sharma, working as a security guard at a bank in South Kashmir’s Pulwama and deserves the strongest condemnation from everyone.
He said in a press statement that our heart goes out to the family of Sanjay Sharma. I fail to understand what these terrorists want to achieve by gunning down innocent people in the Valley ? People must be vigilant to oppose these shameless evils, which are not justified by any sane logic, nor by the religion of Islam.
He added that I firmly believe that whoever so ever kills a human being, it shall be as if he has killed all mankind, and who so ever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.
He observed that peace is a prerequisite for development and economic progress in J&K, and it can’t be achieved till radicalisation and Pakistan-sponsored terrorism will not be eliminated and crushed with an iron hand.
He said that it is due to frustration and desperation that the terrorists are targeting the innocents.Terrorists responsible for the barbaric act should not be spared.
I condemn the attack in unequivocal terms and express my heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved household. I pray for peace to the departed soul. Hashmi added
