The Kashmiri based Seminary Student of Hoaza Ilmia Qom Iran Agha Karar Hashmi sounded a note of caution on the trailer for Zee Studios’ upcoming film ‘The Kashmir Files’ released on Monday. The riveting movie, written and directed by National Award-winning director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, recounts the plight of Kashmiri Pandit refugees following their exodus from the valley in 1990.
The film is set to hit the theatres on March 11th, 2022, saying film showed a poster of iconic Muslim leader Late Ayotullah Syed Rohullah Khumanie (r.a) amidst the terrorist group rasing Jihadi Slogans.
Hashmi said in a message that using poster of late Ayotullah Imam Khumanie (r.a) with terrorist groups in a movie is heart rendring and highly condemned. Ayatollah Rohullah Khumanie(r.a) was great personality, a great man, an irreplaceable leader, a compassionate heart, a steely will, a determination full of strength, a deep and clear faith, a wise sage , on contrary, misusing his picture in a movie means playing with the sentiments of Muslim Ummah across globe.
“Freedom of expression does not mean hurting someone’s sentiments. The Censor Board should remove such scenes so that communal harmony is not disturbed” . Syed Karar added
