Kashmir is under the grip of persistent cold weather, compounded by haze and fog that have settled in various locations, notably impacting visibility in various parts of Valley in including Srinagar.

The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has issued a forecast, anticipating dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir.

However, isolated morning fog is expected to linger over the plains of the Kashmir division in the next 24 hours, reads the advisory from the department.

In Srinagar, a combination of dry conditions and a cloudy sky prevails, creating an atmospheric haze and reducing visibility in several areas.

Temperature-wise, Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded a minimum temperature of 1.6 degrees Celsius, with a maximum of 12.6 degrees Celsius on the preceding Sunday.
