While starting early Saturday Kashmir valley plains are likely to receive heavy rainfall, on late Friday and early Saturday there are good chances of snowfall in some plain areas of the valley as well.

During this period, Kargil, Zanaskar and Leh are also likely to get snowfall, while plains in Jammu would receive heavy rainfall.

All upper reaches of Chenab valley, including Kishtwar and upper Pirpanjal valley areas of Banihal, Gool and surrounding areas of upper Kulgam and Shopian are likely to receive snowfall.

Weather would start to improve Saturday evening onwards.

Farmers and general public are advised to plan their activities accordingly.
