Rishi Kapoor is gone. For the Kapoor family this is a big blow and a loss that is irreplaceable. The actor passed away at 8:45 am on Thursday morning at a suburban hospital. The void that he has left in the industry will never be filled, but the bigger loss is of course to the immediate family. Ranbir and Rishi had become extremely close to each other ever since the news of the latter’s illness became public. While Ranbir became Neetu’s strength the one person who gave him the support was his girlfriend Alia Bhatt.
Alia has not only been Ranbir’s best friend but also spoke to him and gave him a shoulder to cry. Over the last few years they became lovers from being friends and with Rishi’s health scare they became even more close. A source close to the couple says, “Ranbir is a recluse. He isn’t very expressive unless he’s with his mom or someone very close to him. With Alia he could just be himself. And she also offered him all the support to deal with his dads illness as any girlfriend would.”
Rishi too was very fond of Alia and he liked her the day he met her with Ranbir. The source adds, “Alia had his blessings and that meant the world to Ranbir. Alia’s warmth, her energy and spunk cheered up Rishi. She stayed by Ranbir’s side for the last three weeks, not leaving him even for a minute.”
Alia and Ranbir had Rishi’s blessings to get married and the date was to be sometime in 2020. Now with his untimely demise that might be put on hold. ( TOI )
