Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha (All India Hindu Union) hosted a cow urine drinking party at its headquarters in New Delhi. The party reportedly witnessed the presence of over 200 people, including many members of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha.
The reason for hosting the cow urine party is because they believe that cow urine can avert the coronavirus and moreover, it has ‘medicinal benefits’. It is indeed important to note that cow is considered sacred in the Hindu religion. People who attended the party were offered a traditional drink that has cow urine as an ingredient. They started drinking together while chanting ‘Jai Gau Mata ki’ (Hail mother cow), amid this, another person uttered, “It is delicious.”
At the same party, the caricature of the coronavirus was also offered cow urine. The chief of the All India Hindu Union Chakrapani Maharaj was also present at the party and was seen joining them while having the drink.
The netizens are divided in terms of opinions about the party, while many are questioning the importance of such a party, while many are supporting it.( The Rational Daily )
