On public demand, Ali Emran’s acclaimed Kashmiri-language film — produced by Mrs. Yaqut Mushtaq — to be made freely accessible for global audiences.

Srinagar, November 5:
In a landmark moment for Kashmiri cinema, the highly acclaimed feature film “Qouluf, The Ensorcelled” is set to release worldwide online for free access on November 15, 2025, following strong public demand from audiences in and outside Kashmir.

Written and directed by Ali Emran, one of the most visionary voices in contemporary Kashmiri filmmaking, and produced by Mrs. Yaqut Mushtaq, the film made history as the first Kashmiri-language feature screened in a cinema hall in Kashmir in over six decades.

Critically hailed for its poetic visual language and philosophical depth, Qouluf has been described as “a cinematic meditation on Kashmiriyat and spiritual awakening” (Kashmir Pen) and “a landmark in the revival of Kashmiri cinema” (Greater Kashmir).

Set against the haunting yet sublime backdrop of Kashmir, the film explores the eternal struggle between illusion and truth, self and soul — blending allegory, mysticism, and existential reflection. Through its striking cinematography, layered sound design, and performances rooted in Kashmiri ethos, Qouluf transcends conventional storytelling to become an experience of spiritual cinema.

Reflecting on the upcoming global release, Ali Emran said:

“Qouluf was born from the heart of Kashmir — from its silence, its pain, and its poetry. I always believed it belongs not just to a region but to the world. Making it freely available is a way of giving it back to the people who kept Kashmiri art alive in spirit, even when the screens were dark.”

The decision to release Qouluf online for free marks a new chapter in Kashmir’s cinematic history — bringing its art and voice to international audiences without boundaries or barriers.

Viewers can access the film, subtitled in English, from November 15, 2025, by sending a message to info@aliemran.com for the official screening link.
