Holiday On Urs Shah-i-Hamdan Sahib On Saturday, Eid On July 21 & 22

Government on Thursday said that holiday on account of Urs Shah-i-Hamdan Sahib will be observed on Saturday and Eid-ul-Adha on July 21 and 22.

“In partial modification of Government Order No. 1159-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated 24.12.2020 and Government Order No. 1160-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated 24.12.2020, it is hereby ordered that  the provincial holiday (Kashmir Province) on account of Urs Shah-i-Hamdan Sahib shall now be observed on 17 July, 2021 (Saturday) instead of 16t July, 2021 (Friday),” reads a government order, a copy of which lies with GNS.

 “The holiday on account of Eid-ul-Azha shall now be observed on 21st & 22ndJuly, 2021 (Wednesday & Thursday) instead of 20th & 21st July, 2021 (Tuesday & Wednesday),” it added.
