Srinagar, May 19 : Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara Shobhit Saxena on Sunday hoped for a safe polling day on May 20.
Notably Baramulla Lok Sabha seat is going for polls tomorrow with all security and administrative arrangements in place.
SSP Kupwara said that all necessary security measures have been implemented effectively on ground since election schedule was notified on March 16. He said stringent security arrangements were in place during the pre-poll phase.
He hoped safe polling day on May 20. “Keeping the enthusiasm of people especially youth into account, we are hopeful for safe polling day tomorrow,” SSP Kupwara said.
Responding to a query, SSP Kupwara continued that smooth movement in flood affected areas has been ensured with all arrangement in place.
“This time we are positive that voter turnout will touch national level percentage in Kupwara district,” he added..
