Srinagar, Sep 19 : A day after a woman was killed in a road accident at Umerabad HMT in Srinagar, her husband, who had been critically injured in the same incident, succumbed to his injuries on Friday, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that Bashir Ahmad (55), a resident of Umerabad HMT, was injured along with his wife Fahmeeda after being hit by an unknown vehicle. He passed away this morning while undergoing treatment.
Earlier, his wife Fahmeeda (50) had died on the spot from severe head injuries.
Police said a case has been registered, while the driver involved has been arrested and the vehicle seized. —(KNC)
