Srinagar 10 Oct : The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has posted 2007-batch AGMUT cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Govind Jaiswal to the Jammu and Kashmir segment of the cadre.

Jaiswal’s posting to Jammu and Kashmir comes amid administrative developments in the Union Territory. He is likely to be appointed as Principal Secretary to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, according to reports.

As a senior IAS officer, Jaiswal has administrative experience within the AGMUT cadre, which covers Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories, including Jammu and Kashmir.

His anticipated appointment as Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor is expected to place him in a key administrative position, with responsibilities linked to coordination and official matters concerning the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat.

However, a formal order confirming his appointment as Principal Secretary to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is awaited.
