The Kashmir Police Zone in a post on ‘X’ stated “IGP Kashmir #wishes for unity & peace on the eve of #Ashura. May the sacrifice of the martyrs guide humanity to strive for justice & high values of human dignity”

Notably, the tenth day of Muharram is known as Ashura, commemorated by all the Muslims recognising the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, the last Messenger.
