Illicit timber seized in Kanimulla Kangan Ganderbal

Ganderbal, May 19 : Forest department in Ganderbal has seized illegal illicit timber in Kanimulla Najwan area of Ganderbal district.

An official said that during night patrolling, a forest team led by Range officer HQrs under the supervision of DFO Sindh intercepted a santro car loaded with illicit timber kail logs to the tune of 21 cfts at kanimulla Najwan.

He said that the vehicle along with illicit timber was seized and carted to seizure depot Ganderbal while as further investigations have been launched in this regard.

According to PTK, DFO Sindh Owais Mir, said that during this lockdown smugglers have been taking advantage and causing damage to forests.

To curb this menace sindh forest division has started special drives, he said adding that such nakas will be continued in future as well
