” The Islam has given more stress and importance on heart than body, so following teachings of Islam by letter and spirit can minimise rising graph of heart attacks in Kashmir valley. ”
The Socio-Political Activist and Seminary Student Agha Karar Hashmi has expressed a major concern on rising cases of heart attacks in Kashmir valley and terming such happenings a sign of introspection for all of us. The valley known as “Peer Veer”, land of Rishis and Sufis, having Muslim majority must be an example, by following Islamic teachings in day to day life and to shun all banned by Islam with an aim to reach an individual very close to His Almighty Allah and faraway from Satin.
Karar Hashmi reiterated that the Islam is a complete code of life and engulfs every aspect of an individual, it is boon as well as ban to witness risinh graph of heart attacks occurring in Kashmir and might have been different reasons but the lifestyle that the Qur’an encourages drastically decreases the chances of individuals developing cardiovascular diseases and discourages risk factors associated with such diseases by engaging in spiritual activities, moderate eating, physical labour, and abstention from forbidden foods and drinks.Overeating has been strongly condemned and prohibited in the Qur’an. Almighty Allah does not like those who commit excess. Such injections in Islam are enough to maintain strong and healthy heart in a body.
Hashmi further said that the Mosque is a pious place and here heart gets energetic and strong, regular prayer with spiritual concentration minimises the strains and provides mental relaxation and contentment which helps in prevention of heart diseases.Truly it is in the remembrance of God that the hearts find peace. Prayer is the most important and fundamental practice of Islam which possesses the highest spiritual and physico-medical significance having effective role in care and treatment of many aliments particularly the heart diseases.
In an appeal to youth, Syed Karar Hashmi requested youth of Kashmir valley to recite the Holy Quran on daily basis at home, having ample benefits here and hereafter but also Holy Quran says:”Surely the heart strains and tensions are removed through remembrance of Allah”This tension-free and balanced life style provides the man with a very profound basis for prevention of : “Heart Diseases”
Hashmi added that choosing a role model and following it’s teachings and advices bring revolution in anybody’s life. The Muslim world have the greatest role models ever produced like Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) and other infallible Imams . The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Says that : “Indeed there is a muscle in the body; if it remains healthy, the whole body becomes healthy, and if it is diseased, the whole body becomes diseased. Be aware, it is the Heart”.Therefore, Islam has placed a remarkable stress on prevention of heart diseases through its teachings and practices.
