Srinagar, Dec 18 : Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi today felicitated the newly elected office bearers of the Young Kashmir Footpath Union (YKFU), Polo View, following the successful culmination of the Union’s elections. He congratulated the team and expressed hope that the new leadership would take the organisation and the business community it represents to new heights.
In a statement, Inam Un Nabi congratulated Farooq Ahmad Bhat on being elected as President and Shamim Ahmad Dihobi as General Secretary of the Union. He also congratulated Ab. Rahman Bhat (Vice President), Firdous Ahmad Rather (Secretary), Fayaz Ahmad Khan (Treasurer), Shouket Ahmad Mir (Organiser) and Jan Mohammad Lone (Political Secretary), along with all other elected members of the team.
Inam Un Nabi praised the vital role played by footpath vendors in sustaining the local economy, saying they form the backbone of everyday commerce and provide affordable goods to thousands of residents and visitors. “Footpath vendors contribute significantly to employment generation and economic activity at the grassroots level. Their hard work keeps markets vibrant and supports countless families,” he said.
