SRINAGAR, AUGUST 15: The 78th Independence Day was celebrated today with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor across all hospitals in Kashmir.

Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), Dr.Mushtaq Ahmad Rather hoisted the National Flag at its head office in Bemina.

This was followed by a parade and a rendition of the national anthem. The event was attended by senior health officials, medical staff, and doctors from different parts of the valley.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr.Mushtaq said “Today, we celebrate the freedom and sovereignty of our great nation. We also recognize the tireless efforts of our healthcare workers who work selflessly to serve the people of Kashmir.”

Similar celebrations were held across all hospitals in Kashmir, where doctors, nurses, and other medical staff came together to mark the occasion.

The celebrations included flag-hoisting ceremonies, patriotic song recitals, and speeches highlighting the importance of independence and the role of healthcare workers in nation-building.
