Srinagar, Sep 4: An IndiGo flight operating from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar came into contact with a Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) pole while being positioned at Bay No. 06 at Srinagar Airport on Friday morning.
According to Srinagar Airport, IndiGo flight 6E 225 (VT-NOG) was involved in the incident at around 9:02 am during the parking process.
All passengers and crew members on board were reported safe, with no injuries. They were safely deboarded from the aircraft using manual aircraft stairs.
The airport said the details and circumstances leading to the incident would be examined by the appropriate authorities in accordance with prescribed procedures.
“The exact cause will be ascertained following the completion of the inquiry, and no conclusion regarding the cause is being drawn at this stage,” the airport said.
Meanwhile, airport operations remained normal, with flight arrivals and departures continuing as per schedule.
