To ensure proper sanitization throughout the district in view of COVID-19 pandemic, intensive sanitization `drives are being carried out in district hospital on the directions of District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara.

The Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Kishtwar informed that sanitising could reduce the potency of virus to great extent and disinfects the district hospital against COVID-19 virus. He further informed that other sanitising measures like hand sanitizer, masks and the Personal Protection Equipments have been issued to the medical and para medical staff for their protection.

The furniture, installations and equipments in the OPD, IPD, reception centre, ICU, CCU, dialysis section, emergency wards, Laboratory, operation theatres, waiting room, night rooms etc are frequently sanitized and fumigate to ward off the chances of transmission of COVID-19.

Pertinent to mention that the disinfection tunnel has already been installed by Municipal Council at the entrance of District Hospital to ensure the disinfection of each and every person visiting hospital.
