An urgent appeal for global peace was issued by Temple of Understanding India Foundation during a high-level meeting held in New Delhi on Sunday.
Chairing the session, Founder-Chairman Dr. Karan Singh called upon nations across the world to immediately suspend ongoing wars and return to dialogue and peaceful negotiation. He emphasized the need for unity and understanding among nations to prevent further devastation.
Highlighting the gravity of the current global situation, Dr. Singh noted the widespread loss of life affecting communities across religious lines. He also expressed concern over the destruction of significant cultural and historical landmarks, including several recognized by UNESCO, along with severe environmental damage.
Describing the situation as a “massive tragedy for human civilization,” the Foundation stressed the urgency of collective international efforts to restore peace and stability.
The statement was formally issued by General Secretary Dr. A. K. Merchant on behalf of the organization.
