Srinagar, 23, August : Maintaining that Islamic Law can never be changed, the Chairman PDF and MLA, Khansahib, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has expressed his reservations against  the latest Supreme  court verdict to  strike down the Practice of Triple Talaq  among Muslims.

In a statement  issued today,  Hakeem Yaseen said that revelations of Quran and Hadith are final pan- ultimate for a  true  Muslim which can  in no case  be tinkered with adding that the  Supreme Court verdict on Triple Talaq  is totally un-Islamic which also  amounts to bizarre  infringement on the fundamental  right to religious freedom  guaranteed by Article 25-26 of the Constitution of India. He said that every citizen of India has a right to practice and profess their religion peacefully but the way the Indian Judiciary has been invoked to infringe the religious rights was most concerning.

Hakeem Yaseen said that un- Islamic interpretation of Triple Talaq  law and incorrect under- standing of the Muslim Personal Law has made  the whole issue  complicated adding that instead of invoking judiciary, it would be better to leave religious matters with the concerned scholars and religious Boards for their settlement.

Hakeem Yaseem said that Islam is the religion which stands for the protection of the rights of women to live with dignity and honour.” However, some  black sheep are bringing bad  name to the religion for their vested  interests,” Hakeem Yaseen observed
