Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday said that it will investigate the case of an ambulance denial to a pregnant woman leading to death of her baby in Udhampur district.

Responding to the issue raised by MLA Chenani Dina Nath Bhagat in the Legislative Assembly, the Education minister Altaf Bukhari said that government will seek the action into the incident.

“All the details will be sought from the Health Department regarding the non-providing of ambulance to the pregnant lady of Sudh Mahadav that resulted in the death of the baby,” Bukhari said adding that the House will be informed accordingly.

A nomad family had alleged doctors of negligence at Chenani hospital and also said that hospital administration denied ambulance to them after which they had to carry dead baby in a carton to their remote Sudh Mahadev village.
