Massive protests erupted in Nowgam area of Srinagar following a fresh chopping incident on Wednesday.
Reports said that people took to streets after two non-local persons allegedly chopped off the braid of a 29-year-old woman (name withheld) today morning.
The protesters blocked the road, triggering a massive traffic jam in the area.

They were demanding the arrest of the alleged braid-choppers.
Reports said that police have reached at the spot to disperse the protesters.
Protests were going on in the area when this report was being filed.
