Srinagar, March 7: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a fresh weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting a dry spell till March 9, followed by a spell of rain and snow.

The weather forecast indicates that the region will experience generally dry weather till the evening of March 9, making it an ideal time for farmers to continue their farm operations.

From March 10 -11, possibility of light to moderate rain/ snow at higher reaches in many places of J&K.

However, from March 10-11, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain/snow at higher reaches in many places. This will be followed by intermittent spells of light to moderate rain/snow at many places from March 12-14.

In view of the weather forecast, the authorities have issued advisories for travelers, tourists, transporters, and farmers:

Travelers, tourists, and transporters are advised to follow administrative and traffic advisories.
Farmers are advised to continue farm operations till March 9.

People are warned to avoid sloppy and avalanche-prone areas.
