Srinagar, Aug 23 : National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Wednesdaysaid that the people of three regions— Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh must unite to fight against the attempts to abrogate Article 35-A.

“We all think that we must stay united whether the people from Jammu or Kashmir or Ladakh over to issue and fight against the attempts to abrogate article 35-A,” Abdullah told reporters after meeting with the members of ‘We the people of J&K’ civil society.

Abdullah hoped that the Hurriyat leadership would listen to the civil society members and agree with them over the issue.

“These civil society members today met us and we listen to them. We hope that Hurriyat leadership will also listen to them,” he said.

He said they held a detailed discussion with the members over the issue and called for an organized movement against the campaign started to abrogate Article 35-A.
