Jammu Kashmir Finance Department Nominates 20 Officers for Three-Day IIM Jammu Workshop

SRINAGAR 10 Sep : The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has approved the nomination of 20 officers for a three-day training workshop at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu on capacity building and training needs analysis.

The nominations were approved through Government Order No. 278-FD of 2026, issued on September 7 by Financial Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Shailendra Kumar.

The workshop is being organised in connection with the Capacity Building Action Plan and Training Needs Analysis proposal submitted by IIM Jammu.

The nominated officers have been directed to coordinate with the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department (PD&MD) on the schedule, modalities and other arrangements for the training programme.

The officers may also contact IIM Jammu’s Nodal CITaG Specialist, Waheed, for coordination and information related to the programme.

The 20 nominees include officers from the Local Fund Audit and Pensions Department, Directorate of Audit and Inspections, Budget Division, Directorate General of Accounts and Treasuries, J&K Funds Organisation, State Taxes Department, Division Expenditure-I and Excise Department.

The training areas include public financial management, fiscal policy and macroeconomic management, public procurement and contract management, infrastructure financing and public-private partnerships, artificial intelligence in finance, cybersecurity, IT systems and data management, e-governance, monitoring and evaluation, project management and appraisal, and revenue augmentation.

The nominated officers are Shagufta Hanif and Priya Sharma, Accounts Officers from Local Fund Audit and Pensions; Yasir Arafat, Joint Director, and Vipin Jangral, Accounts Officer, from the Directorate of Audit and Inspections; Mohd. Shafiat Rehman, Deputy Director (Budget), Sanjay Sadhu, Accounts Officer (Budget), and Aaqib Javed Mufti, Accounts Officer (Budget), from the Budget Division.

From the Directorate General of Accounts and Treasuries, the nominees are Shadab Mukhdoomi, Nadish Khursheed and Tahleela Asmat, all FA&CAOs.

The J&K Funds Organisation nominees are Ajay Kumar Pandit Raina, Chief Accounts Officer, DFO Reasi; Mohd. Sleem, Chief Accounts Officer, DFO Poonch; Altaf Hussain Hajam, Chief Accounts Officer, DFO Srinagar; and Mohd. Ashraf, Chief Accounts Officer, DFO Kupwara.

The State Taxes Department has nominated Assistant Commissioners Abhishek Chandra Vaidya, JKAS, and Sona Gupta, JKAS. DED-I nominees are Dr Jyoti Sharma, Joint Director (E&S), and Harish Wazir, Statistical Officer.

The Excise Department nominees are Priyanka Bhat, JKAS, Principal, ETTI Nagrota, and Rajni Choudhary, AAO.

The order states that the proposed training will cover different skill levels, ranging from basic to advanced, depending on the officer and the identified training area.
