SRINAGAR 12 Jun : The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday ordered the transfer and posting of six Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers with immediate effect as part of an ongoing administrative reorganization.
According to Government Order No. 1078-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated June 12, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) under the directions of the Lieutenant Governor, the transfers have been made in the interest of administration and take effect immediately.
Under the order, Akanksha Kalsotra, JKAS, who was serving as Programme and Coordination Executive in the Directorate of Information, JK, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary to the Government in the Home Department.
Tariq Ahmad Sheikh, a Junior Scale JKAS officer and Assistant Director in the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Baramulla, has been appointed as Under Secretary to the Government, Home Department.
Pulkit Dutta, Junior Scale JKAS, who was serving as Under Secretary in the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB), has also been transferred and posted as Under Secretary to the Government, Home Department.
The order further stated that Sumit Suri, Junior Scale JKAS and Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Khour, has been posted as Under Secretary in the Home Department.
Similarly, Ajay Singh, Junior Scale JKAS and Block Development Officer, Duggain, has been transferred and appointed as Under Secretary to the Government, Home Department.
Meanwhile, Monish Kumar, JKAS, presently serving as Under Secretary to the Government, Home Department, has been transferred and directed to await further orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department.
