SRINAGAR 21 May : The High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh has constituted a high-level committee to oversee the operationalisation and implementation of the Live Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings Rules, 2023.

According to an official order issued by the Office of the Registrar General in Srinagar, the Chief Justice has approved the formation of the committee to identify the types and categories of cases in which live streaming of court proceedings may be introduced in the initial phase.

The committee comprises Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Justice Sindhu Sharma, Justice Rajnesh Oswal, Justice Sanjay Dhar, and Justice Rahul Bharti.

The order also states that Faizan I Nazar, Central Project Coordinator of the High Court of JK and Ladakh, has been nominated as the presenting officer to the committee.

The panel has been assigned the responsibility of preparing a roadmap for the effective implementation of live streaming and recording mechanisms in line with the 2023 Rules.
