SRINAGAR 08 Jun : The High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh has formally initiated the process for filling posts of Civil Judges (Senior Division) by way of promotion from amongst Civil Judges (Junior Division) on an ad-hoc basis, according to an official order referenced as “JUDGE.

The order, identified as No.: 061 of 2026/RG and dated 06.06.2026, was issued by the Registrar General, MK Sharma, from the Office of the Registrar General at Srinagar. The Chief Justice (Acting) has been pleased to constitute a committee comprising Justice Sanjay Parihar and Justice Shahzad Azeem to conduct interviews for eligible candidates falling within the consideration zone, in accordance with Rule 7 (c) of the Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Judicial Service Rules, 2025.

The list of officers in the consideration zone, detailed in Annexure-“A” includes: Rohit Sharma (1st Additional Munsiff/Forest Magistrate, Jammu), Rashi Verma (Munsiff/Addl.
