Jammu Kashmir Police Orders Transfer and Posting of 19 Police Officers

SRINAGAR 29 Jul : The District Police Headquarters Baramulla has ordered the transfer and posting of 19 police officers, including the appointment of DySP (P) Rajat Sambyal as Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Boniyar, with the reshuffle taking immediate effect.

The order, issued by District Police Headquarters Baramulla as Order No. 403 of 2026 dated July 28, 2026, states that the transfers have been made in the interest of administration. All officers concerned have been directed to hand over charge to their successors forthwith and have been deemed relieved immediately.

Under the reshuffle, Inspector Shabir Ahmad has been transferred from SHO Police Station Kunzer to SHO Police Station Baramulla, while Inspector Sheikh Manzoor has been moved from In-charge Establishment at DPHQ to SHO Police Station Kunzer.

Inspector Tanveer Jahangir, who was serving as SHO Police Station Boniyar, has been posted as In-charge Crime Section at DPHQ. Inspector Hilal Ahmad, formerly SHO Police Station Baramulla, has been transferred to District Police Lines (DPL) as DPL DTC In-charge Training Indoor.

Inspector Wasim Ahmad has been posted from DPL to SHO Police Station Kreeri, while Inspector Arif Hameed Khan has been transferred from DPL DTC In-charge Training Indoor to SHO Police Station Sheeri.

Inspector Sajad Rasool has been posted as SHO Police Station Women, with additional charge of SHO Police Station AHTU and SHO Police Station Cyber. He will also hold the charge of District Juvenile Officer.

Inspector Syed Mudasir Javid has been transferred from In-charge Crime Section at DPHQ to Motor Transport Officer (MTO) at DPL, while Inspector Mudasir Shafi has been moved from DPL to In-charge Establishment at DPHQ.

At the sub-inspector level, SI Mymoona Bano has been transferred from SHO Police Station Women to In-charge Police Post Delina, while SI Imtiyaz Ahmad, formerly In-charge Police Post Delina, has been posted to DPL.

SI Muneer Ahmad has been moved from In-charge Police Post Mirgund to second officer at Police Station Baramulla. PSI Aamir Shahzad has been transferred from second officer at Police Station Kunzer to In-charge Police Post Kamalkote.

PSI Aijaz Ahmad has been posted from second officer at Police Station Baramulla to In-charge Legal at DPHQ. PSI Suheeb Ahmad has been transferred from In-charge Police Post Kamalkote to In-charge Police Post Old Town.

PSI Azhar Shakeel has been posted from second officer at Police Station Kreeri to In-charge Police Post Wagoora, while PSI Sameer Ahmad has been moved from In-charge Police Post Wagoora to In-charge General Branch (GB) at DPHQ.

SI Bilal Ahmad has been transferred from DPL to In-charge Police Post Mirgund.

The order said the transfers and postings would take effect immediately, with the officers deemed relieved forthwith.
