SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli IPS said in a statement that Continuing its drive against drugs trafficking and substance abuse police party of subdivision East City Jammu under the supervision of SDPO Zaheer Abbas jafri achieved a major success by recovering 04 Kg ganja along with Cash amount of 449000 from Rajiv nagar.
Operation was done by a police party of PS Trikuta nagar (Bahu fort) led by INSP Nayat Ali SHO assisted by IC Pp Nerwal Si Anchal Rana. Police party during a naka checking apprehended two lady suspects and recovered Narcotics alongwith cash from their possession.The accused namely Poopy and Asha residents of Rajiv nagar were already wanted in FIRs related to NDPS.
In this regard FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered in police station Bahu fort and further investigation is going on.
