Strongly condemning the Killing of an innocent driver by Army in Kupwara  district, Janta Dal United J&K today strongly condemned the Killing of innocent youth in Kupwara. In a statement to the Press Janta Dal United J&K State General Secretary Mir Hamid today said that Army has been given a free hand to kill anybody here in Kashmir. Hamid said such incidents could have been avoided and the security forces exercised maximum restraint. “Such killing is bound to inflame the situation. Unfortunately, no distinction is being made between the civilians and the militants,” Mir Hamid lashed out at State as well as Central Government for failing to make Army answerable for their misdeeds. Mir Hamid said in a statement castigated the Army and said it is all happening because of Armed Force’s Special Power’s Act (AFSPA). Mir Hamid said because of AFSPA Army have the authority to kill anyone and also demanded immediate arrest of Army Personnel who have killed an innocent. Mir Hamid warned of dire consequences if the guilty Army Personnel are not arrested and brought to justice. Expressing their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for ever lasting peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
