In a landmark development for Mendhar, Cabinet Minister Javed Ahmed Rana on Thursday announced the long-awaited revival of the Mini Secretariat project, calling it a “historic moment for the people of the constituency.”
Rana, who has been consistently advocating for the project’s resumption, extended heartfelt congratulations to the residents of Mendhar. He said the clearance of ₹5.06 crore by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah marks a turning point in addressing the administrative needs of the region.
“The Mini Secretariat is not just an infrastructure project—it is a commitment to ease the lives of our people. After more than a decade of delay, this Government has honoured the aspirations of Mendhar,” Rana said, expressing deep gratitude to the Chief Minister for prioritising the constituency.
Officials said the revived Mini Secretariat will integrate key government offices under one roof, significantly improving public service delivery. The project is expected to reduce travel hardships, enhance administrative efficiency, and make essential services more accessible to thousands of residents in the region.
The Government maintained that the sanctioning of funds reflects its commitment to addressing longstanding developmental gaps. For Mendhar, the revival of the Mini Secretariat is being seen as a major milestone and a substantial boost to public welfare after years of delays.
