G.M. Shaheen, President, J&K Unit of Janata Dal United (JDU), today called on Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu here at the Raj Bhavan.
Shaheen discussed with the Lt Governor about various issues of public importance pertaining to development of tourism sector, employment generation, release of pending payments under MGNREGA, Daily Rated Workers, release of pending salaries of JK Cement employees etc.
He further drew Lt Governor’s attention towards welfare of NHM employees who are working as front line warriors during COVID-19 pandemic.
Shaheen also shared his views about the development scenario in Jammu and Kashmir and expressed hope towards the present Government to meet the developmental needs of the people of J&K.
The Lt Governor assured Shaheen that all the genuine issues projected by him would be reviewed for their early redressal and urged him to continue his sustained endeavours for promoting public welfare.
