Srinagar, Mar 19 : More than six months have passed after Jammu and Kashmir was changed into two union territories but irony is that despite passing of six months authorities are yet to draft policy and requirements for those who want to register their firms and NGO’s.
Officials within the industries and commerce department said that people of Jammu and Kashmir has facing lot of problems as there lies no policy in registering their firms and NGO’s
They added that even some firms and NGO’s who want to make changes in policies of their existing units and organizations are facing difficulties in getting their demand redressed in absence of any policy before authorities.
A youth from Srinagar said that in absence any policy for the registration of firm, he has been waiting from last four months but authorities are registering it as there lies no policy before them.
Another youth said that he wants to make changes in bylaws of his already existing NGO but officials said they are yet what to do and what not.
On contacting director industries and commerce Kashmir Mehmood Ahmad shah,
that first government has to nominate registrar society but that hasn’t happened yet.
“At this moment it is stuck for both Jammu and Kashmir,” he said, adding that as now I can’t say when registrar will be nominated because it is in domain of higher ups.
