Srinagar, Jan 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday announced that the Budget for the financial year 2026 will be presented in the Legislative Assembly on February 6.

The Assembly session will commence on February 2 with the traditional address to the House. The general discussion on the Budget has been scheduled for February 7, 9 and 10, while the demand for grants will be taken up between February 11 and 19.

Following a brief recess, the House will reconvene on March 27 for the passage of the Budget. The financial exercise is expected to shape development priorities, public welfare measures, and the broader economic trajectory of Jammu and Kashmir in the year ahead
