JK Congress to Congress will observe the days of all veteran leaders who have played important role in their life in the politics of Jammu and Kashmir & remained loyal to the party, in order to connect with the roots.
JKPCC Chief Tariq Hameed Karra has asked the PCC HQs and all District Presidents to shortlist the names of all such prominent leaders in respective districts ,to be remembered on their birth or death anniversary ,in respective district or constituency headquarters.
Acting on the recommendation of the Fact Finding Committee headed by Ravinder Sharma , Karra has asked the top party leaders to identity all such leaders of stature ,whose remembrance shall be observed every year in order to reconnect with the roots of party.
The committee has recommended that the party should re- connect with the roots by remembering the past leaders of great contributions, at different levels right from PCC to block levels and also honouring the veteran leaders who have retired from active politics.This will reconnect party with the roots and give the families of original congressmen ,a sense of belongingness with the party.
Accepting the recommendations of the committee,in this regard,JKPCC Chief has already issued instructions.Earlier only few top leaders of J&K,on pick & choose basis,are remembered.
