The Jammu and Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee (J&K EJAC) deeply mourns the passing of former Chief Engineer, Kashmir Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, Ghulam Rasool Zargar, who breathed his last after a brief illness at Medanta Hospital, Gurugram, New Delhi. His demise marks an irreparable loss to the society at large.
According to a press release issued by UT Spokesperson Mir Bashir Ahmad, a delegation of J&K EJAC, led by President Wajahat Hussain Durrani and accompanied by General Secretary and Chairman Kashmir PHE Joint Employees Association, Sajad Ahmad Parray, visited the bereaved family at their residence in Hyderpora Ibrahim Colony, Srinagar, to offer condolences and express solidarity during this painful time.
On the solemn occasion, President Wajahat Hussain Durrani conveyed heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the entire EJAC fraternity, stating,
“The EJAC family stands united with the bereaved family in this moment of grief. Ghulam Rasool Zargar’s legacy as a dedicated professional and a compassionate leader will be remembered for generations to come.”
Expressing his sorrow, General Secretary EJAC and Chairman Kashmir PHE Joint Employees Association, Sajad Ahmad Parray, emphasized the late engineer’s unparalleled contributions to the PHE Department. He remarked,
“Ghulam Rasool Zargar was not only a visionary engineer but also a mentor who treated his colleagues and subordinates with immense kindness and respect. His instrumental role in shaping the infrastructural development of the PHE Department across Kashmir remains a testament to his dedication and expertise.”
Leaders further highlighted that Zargar sbs untimely demise has left a void that will be difficult to fill. He stated,
“His knowledge, integrity, and unwavering commitment to public service set a benchmark for excellence in engineering and administration. His contributions to the water resource management sector will always be cherished.”
It is pertinent to mention that Ghulam Rasool Zargar also served as a consultant to the Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India, where his expertise was highly valued and widely recognized. His illustrious career in the engineering sector and public service was marked by remarkable achievements and an unwavering dedication to improving essential infrastructure.
The J&K EJAC fraternity prays for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the grieving family in these trying times.
