Prof Majrooh lauded the role of JK Fiction Writers Guild in promoting fiction, encouraging young talent

Srinagar NOV 25: The 348th session of the JK Fiction Writers Guild was held at Abi Guzar,
Srinagar on Saturday during which noted critic , academic and poet Prof Majrooh Rashid said that JK Fiction writers Guild is playing a great role in promoting the genre of short story writing in Kashmir.
Prof Majrooh, who was presiding the session further said that guild over the years has not only come up as a vibrant platform for youngsters to share and consolidate their experiences, but they also learn the nuances of fiction writing. Dr Shahnawaz Muntazir , Guest of honour on the occasion lauded the dedication and commitment of guild members in enriching the literary landscape of Kashmir , especially promoting the short story genre in all languages of this region.
Kashmiri short stories (afsnachay ) recited by Dr Manzoor Nazar titled Kadro Keemat, AI,
Tamasha ,Ajeeb Shahar Ajeeb Lukh, and shikaar , Kashmiri Short Story read by Mohd Yousuf Shaheen “ Butraat “ and English Short Story by Ms.Badrunisa Bhat , the living of yesteryears were read on the occasion much to the applaud of the learned audience .
Noted Fiction writer ,author and General Secretary of FWG Nasir Zameer presented welcome address and vote of thanks. In his welcome address Nasir Zameer said that Guild plays a vital role in nurturing creative expression by offering regular sessions, discussions, book releases and critical interactions that help both emerging and established writers grow The Session was moderated by famous TV anchor Mr.Niyaz Ahmad Bhat .
Other guests who grace the occasion were prof .Hameedah Nayeem,Aijaz ul Haq Tasneem Akhtar ,Salim Salik ,Er Shafi Ahmad ,Safeer bhat,Arshad Mushtaq ,Nasir Zameer,Shakeelur Rehman, Manzoor kanth,Rutbah,Faizan ,Yasir Mohd saqlain , Zoya and sanya.
