Five members of a family were killed after their house collapsed in Ramnagar area of Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir last night.

Reports said that the house belonging to Raj Singh, a resident of Upper Barmeen sector Ramnagar, collapsed after a huge boulder rolled down from a hill, crushing his wife and four minor children.

The deceased were identified as Sharda Devi (35), wife of Raj Singh and her three daughters – Aarti Devi (16), Anu Devi (14), Swani Devi (12) – and her son, identified as Pawan Singh (10).

Raj Singh, head of the family, was rescued by the villagers in an injured condition. He was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for treatment.
