The J&K government has provided a special one-time age relaxation for aspirants in the ongoing recruitment of sub-inspectors in the J&K Police even as the posts have also been increased by 400.

Making the announcement on Twitter, LG Manoj Sinha said that the upper age limit has been increased from 28 to 30 years while UT cadre posts also enhanced from 800 to 1200.
“Following representation from various delegations,the Govt has taken a decision to provide one-time age relaxation for aspirants in recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in @JmuKmrPolice.The Upper age limit increased from 28 to 30yrs &no.of UT cadre posts also enhanced from 800 to 1200,” the LG wrote on his official Twitter handle.
