J&K Govt Appoints Ten District Judges on Adhoc Basis

Srinagar, Oct 17: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, has ordered the adhoc appointment of ten Sub-Judges as District Judges (Entry Level) following the recommendations of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

According to Government Order No. 15108-JK(LD) of 2025, dated 17-10-2025, the appointments have been made under Rule 20 of the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Judicial Service Rules, 2009.

The officers appointed as District Judges (adhoc) include:

1. Mr. Mir Wajahat

2. Mr. Aadil Mushtaq

3. Ms. Fozia Paul

4. Ms. Mehreen Mushtaq

5. Mr. Feroz Ahmad Khan

6. Mr. Imran Hussain Wani

7. Ms. Preet Simran Kour

8. Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi

9. Mr. Umesh Sharma

10. Mr. Sheikh Gowhar Hussain

The order, issued from the Civil Secretariat, Jammu/Srinagar, states that the appointments are subject to specified conditions as laid down by the department.
