Srinagar, June 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has filed a review petition before the Supreme Court in connection with the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) issue concerning teachers in the Union Territory.

Education Minister Sakina Itoo announced the development on Saturday, stating that the government had fulfilled its commitment and formally moved the apex court for review of the matter.

“As committed, the review petition has been filed before  Supreme Court. The Government has consistently pursued this matter and remains fully committed to safeguarding the interests of our teachers,” Itoo said in a statement.

The minister said the government had acted responsibly and proactively throughout the matter and had consistently followed it up through concrete measures.
