Reacting sharply to Asaduddin Owaisi’s repeated attempts to garner limelight by unnecessarily intermeddling in Kashmir affairs, JK People’s Party Chief Sheeban Ashai lambasted Owaisi for his limited knowledge on Kashmir.
Ashai said, ” His disgustful, compromised brand of politics has completely destroyed Indian Muslims. Eleven years is a long time, he needs to first come clean on his record of what he has achieved in last eleven years before sermonising Kashmiris.
Ashai rebutted strongly Owaisi’s remarks on PSA in Kashmir. He called his statement a reprehensible attempt to paint every Kashmir CM from 1982 to present with the same brush. Ashai asked Owaisi to come clean on phone call latter received during a live press conference on April 24, 2025, from Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding a terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Ashai beseeched Indian Muslims to research and notice stark variation in tone & tonality from Owaisi’s usual public abuse of Modi Government. A man who catapulted to political fame by abusing Modi-Shah akin to a serf softens his tone while speaking to the master. Ashai urged Muslim youth to open their eyes and not become muslim versions of blind followers. We are all wise enough to see the reality, no amount of skullduggery or damage control can save Owaisi’s now. His cover has been completely blown.
Ashai spoke at length about his phone call with the then AIMIM Aurangabad MP Imtiyaz Jaleel in February 2023, post we stopped BJP’s bulldozers in Kashmir despite not being elected to either the state assembly or the parliament it made us realise collosal failure of Indian Muslim leadership who are just being silent spectators to their constant weakening status.
If Punjabis are only 2% of the population and we all saw their collective strength in the farm bill protests how is that 17 crore Indian Muslims are being subjected to such humiliation; ill treatment day in and day out and no one bats an eye. Ashai recalled discussing with his team of lawyers to move Bombay high court for stopping demolitions in Mira Road.
After due consultations with lawyers, it was made clear that a Public interest litigation must only be filed by a local resident of Maharashtra. Regarding same we spoke to then Muslim MP of Maharashtra Imtiyaz Jaleel, being only other MP besides Asaduddin Owaisi from AIMIM in parliament, his response stunned us all. His open display of cowardice was quite shocking, ‘he replied that we would ask a local woman to help us with same, when probed that why doesn’t his party or Jaleel file a petition and JK People’s party would provide monetary assistance if needed ; Jaleel replied that they live in the land of BJP and Shiv Sena and can’t be as brave as Ashai.
Ashai lashed out at Owaisi and asked him to first get his own house in order before sermonising Kashmiris.
JK People’s Party Supremo questioned Owaisi to come clean on his achievements of last eleven years of Modi rule. He assumed status of a national Muslim leader only post 2014, What has he actually done for Muslims of India on grass root levels apart for ad nauseam reading out Articles 14,15,25,29,30 of Indian Constitution? How many lynching and riots did he stop in other states of India. Was he unable to defend Babri Masjid case or triple talaq judgment? He even failed everyone vis-a-vis Waqf bill issue, Owaisi needs to understand in changed scenario people like him need to look for mediums beyond courts.
He claims to represent muslims of India which is a whopping 17 crores. How come Sikhs who represent only 2% of Indian population as per 2011 census are safe and could reverse diabolical three farm laws, people who claims to represent 14.2% percent of India’s population are being ridiculed day in and day out.
Ashai also called out 24 Muslim MP’s of India who are only enjoying perks of their posts and doing absolutely nothing for the community. We very unambiguously question Owaisi on his ‘all bark and no bite’ politics which has destroyed Indian Muslims. UPA 1, 2 were propelled to chairs of power by Late Ahmed Patel and Ghulam Nabi Azad but politicians like Owaisi, their selfish duplicit politics has literally ghettoised Indian Muslims.
Before sermonising Kashmiris Owaisi must look inwards, he warned Owaisi that his nefarious plans vis-a-vis Kashmir where he was supporting a former Hurriyat leader from Srinagar and one MP from Kashmir to topple Omar government would be exposed in public. His political despotism has crossed all limits, one fails to understand their obsession with Kashmiris. For them it’s a battle of a chair worth five lakh crores budget nothing else, they would gladly want to destabilize Kashmir.
Ashai questioned Owaisi over his drastic increase in net worth since 2014. His party has gone from a corporation level political party to national level organization all over the dead bodies of lynched Indian muslims. Ashai dared Owaisi to play from front and not hide behind such persona non gratas.
Kashmir has been a learning tale for many and Owaisi must remember from books of history even Quaid E Azam couldn’t get it right the first time! Ashai asked Asaduddin Owaisi to come clean about his series of meetings with Owaisi pre 2014 assembly elections in Hyderabad. What happened why didn’t he save kashmir from the BJP back then? Ashai asked Owaisi to clear air about his obsession with Kashmir, despite expanding to all corners of India. He asked owaisi to reveal his souce of funding, if Prashant Kishore of Jan Suraj is being asked questions about his funding. Our party if it suddenly starts expanding to all states, eye brows would be raised. From where is Owaisi getting all this money? Ashai questioned it is shocking when across India all Muslim leaders be it Azam khan or mukhtar ansari or atiq ahmed were subjected to worst tribulations Owaisi was left totally untouched? Why? Why don’t agencies like ED, CBI, NIA ever target Asaduddin?
Ashai confessed that after stopping BJP’s bulldozer in Kashmir; being vociferously antithetical to RSS’s policies across India, we had to loose clean energy projects worth 250 crores but Owaisi has never faced such a problem? Ashai very strongly forewarned Owaisi to not meddle in affairs concerning Kashmir, he must understand that mask on his face has fallen and everybody knows his true reality especially after the historic phone call with Amit Shah which was caught on tape.
He forewarned Owaisi to not ever try and belittle contributions of stalwarts of Kashmir movement, Ashai publicly expressed that party might campaign for or field candidates in Telangana when so ever next assembly elections take place. Ashai called out Owaisi’s duplicity; exhorted that his RSS sponsored filthy politics would be exposed across India”.
