A high-profile stakeholders’ meeting was held at the prestigious Trident Hotel in Mumbai to promote Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism in Jammu & Kashmir. The event brought together top industry leaders and experts for strategic discussions aimed at enhancing investment, collaboration, and infrastructure development in the region.

Renowned figures from various industries shared their insights on expanding J&K’s tourism landscape:

• Golf legend Vijay Amritraj highlighted the potential of golf tourism and sports infrastructure as key attractions for high-end travelers.

• Acclaimed designer Anita Dongre emphasized reviving Kashmir’s traditional textiles and craftsmanship, positioning the region as a global hub for sustainable fashion and heritage crafts.

• Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna explored culinary tourism and cultural exchange, underscoring the rich gastronomic heritage of Kashmir.

• Wellness expert Mickey Mehra discussed integrating wellness tourism, promoting J&K as a destination for holistic health retreats.

• Health experts and officials engaged in discussions on advancing public health and preventive care, aligning healthcare development with the tourism sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Omar Abdullah highlighted the significance of such collaborations in positioning Jammu & Kashmir as a premier MICE tourism destination. He emphasized the region’s diverse offerings, from scenic landscapes to world-class hospitality, heritage, adventure, and wellness tourism, making it a prime location for global events and corporate gatherings.

The meeting marked a crucial step in redefining J&K’s tourism industry, reinforcing its potential for sustainable growth and international investment.
