The Jammu and Kashmir administration has imposed a nighttime restriction on vehicle movement in Dharmari Sub Division of Reasi district due to safety concerns amid heavy rainfall.

The restriction, effective from August 24, 2025, to September 22, 2025, will be in force daily between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM. This decision aims to prevent accidents and ensure public safety, considering the damage to road infrastructure and increased risk of landslides during nighttime.

The order, issued by Sub Divisional Magistrate Tariq Aziz, excludes emergency services vehicles, police, and law enforcement agencies on duty, as well as vehicles used for relief and restoration work by government departments.

The Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Arnas will ensure strict compliance with the order and set up check posts to enforce restrictions and take legal action against violators.

This order shall come into force with effect from 8:00 PM on 24th August 2025 and shall remain in force until 6:00 Am on 22nd September 2025, unless modified or withdrawn earlier
