Premier league matches of Volleyball and Hockey begin.
In the ongoing JKSC Premier League three matches were played today in volleyball discipline at Mini Indoor stadium Pologround Srinagar. In the first match M I lions beat Real Leathers elite in 3 straight sets by score 25/16,25/23 and 25/23.
The second match of the day was played between Dhara Warriors and Go Amir Elites which was won by Go Amir Elites in three sets by 25/14,25/19 and 25/20. Third match of the day was played between Talibal.
Tigers and MKM Balhama Blasters which was won by MKM Balhama Blasters by score 25/20,22/25,22/25,25/22 and 15/
A large number of volleyball fans were present in the stadium and hailed the initiative of Sports council to start volleyball matches in indoors.
Divisional Sports Officer Kashmir Mrs Nuzhat Ara was chief Guest of the today’s event. This is first time that volleyball matches were conducted in Indoor hall Pologround.
The Premier League Hockey matches also commenced at Gindun Sports Complex Rajbagh Srinagar.
Two matches were played on inaugural day. In the first match Badal Hockey Club beat Balhama Hockey Club by 5:0 goals.
The second match of the day was played between Mahindra Hockey Club and Friends Club which was won by Mahindra Hockey Club by 6 goals to 2.
Mrs Nuzhat Ara holding charge of Joint Secretary Kashmir JK Sport council was the chief guest of the function.
Football Discipline.
At Synthetic football stadium sgr two matches were played today. In the first match JK PDC beat Novelty Sports club by 3 goals to nil.
The second match of the day was played between JK bank XI and AG’s XI which was won by JK bank XI by 4:1 This was fourth consecutive win for JK bank XI.
The Premier League is being organised by J&K Sports Council in colloboration with respective sports associations
